Wishing Stars past (rotg)

Wishes past:
 
She was a beautiful young girl, with long black hair and hazel colored eyes, who went by the name of Mira Torani. Who lived in a small Italian village during the 1800’s. The villagers, although humble, or at often times loud. Did not have much to, so they lived off on what was planted on their property, or what could be sold for money at the market in the local town. For Mira it was a simple life, while her father, Enzo and her brother, Luciano would do the labor, she would help out with the planting, and harvesting of the crops, after that she would take care of the farm animals. The three of them worked hard to keep the farm running after the death of her mother, Sara. True they had often had little to eat, but the hard work kept them closer together as a family. Mira had treasured them as much as her hobbies, which were reading books, and looking up at the night sky to view the stars.
 
Years went by and Luciano had married a beautiful woman, named Rosalina Fabiano. Whose family worked and owned the towns general store. Mira was okay with the union despite, her new sister in law having an expensive taste in clothing. But if her brother was happy who was she to complain. Two years went by and the couple was blessed with a baby boy, named Nico. Mira bounded instantly with the baby, but her day got even better, when the couple asked her and their dad to be Nico’s legal guardians if anything where to happen to them.
 
As the years passed by Mira grew into a lovely young lady, but just because she was beautiful didn’t mean she was the type to flaunt her looks, as she was still a hard working farmer girl. Since Nico was about five years of age, he would help her with the animals and go on adventures after the chores. But no matter how long the day was, the two of them would always be home by night, so that they could look up at the night sky “drawing” their own constellations in the sky,  coming up with stories, Nico’s favorite was one about a princess who ruled over the stars,  granting wishes of both adults, and children alike, another hobby was trying to count the stars, Nico had attempted this a few times but would always fall asleep trying to reach twenty While it was clear she would be good with kids, the family still worried about her finding a husband since they were able to find suitable matches, but they men did not like her outgoing nature and simply loved her for her beauty alone, it was more of an excuse to have beautiful children. This would expect Mira greatly to a point that one young man gotten too fresh with her that the man walked out of there with a busted lip and a black eye. Things where looking grim for the girl’s future, that is until the night of the summer festival.

While Nico and herself where trying to catch fireflies, they ran into a young man named Antonio Vitale., he was an old childhood friend of Mira, who traveled to the city to find work to help his family who needed the money for food, so he came back to visit them. The two of them took the time to know each other all over again, and after a few months of communication via letters. After that Antonio had returned to proclaim his love for Mira and make her his bride, but upon his return, Nico had become ill.
 
No one knew how he got sick, all they wanted to know was how to make him better, the doctors said that he did not have much to live, but they had received word of a cure that was in the city, but it very expensive. Luciano and Rosalina decided to go into the city to get it, with the money the entire family saved for, roofing supplies for the barn, and some from Antonio too help it a little bit, as he promised to stay and help out. But another tragedy stricken the family.
 
When Luciano and Rosalina where traveling to the city they were robbed and killed by bandits, Nico had no mother and father, his sadness only made his condition worsen, while Mira was happy to have Antonio around for help, there was no way she would considered marriage now after the tragedy of her brother and sister in law. Mira tried to keep the boy happy, making sure he ate properly and took his medicine to stop a few of the symptoms, that he was well rested. She recently tried to entertain him, by reading him books, playing card games, even trying their nightly routine of counting stars. But still nothing worked, in fact Nico, had resented his aunt, and had even attacked her, when she served him dinner, it was to a point that he didn’t want nothing to do with her. Things where looking grim for Nico, and Mira was running out of ideas to help him, thankfully she had the help of her father and boyfriend to keep her grounded, but she had refused to eat anything, and had gotten very little sleep over her nephew, which all seemed lost until one night she had gotten a brilliant idea, after witnessing a shooting star.
 
The next day, Mira approached her nephew with an empty glass jar, a pencil and some papers. She then showed him a trick that involves writing something on small strip of paper and then folding it into a shape of a tiny star, and then placing it in the jar. She then told him that if he filled the jar with enough paper stars, the Star princess would grant his wish of becoming better. Nico took to the idea right away and started making the stars whenever he felt pain, sadness, angry or happy wither it be about his illness or anything else in general, each day he started to look better and better in fact he was able to go outside for a little while because of it. When his hands would hurt, he would ask either his aunt, grandfather or Antonio to help him out with the little stars. If he were to run out of paper, either her or Enzo would go into town to get him more supplies for him. Mira was very proud of her work, but was mostly proud of her nephew as he was showing progress of getting better, but do to not eating or sleeping well enough she was getting weaker. She only ate very little do to spending her energy caring for young Nico, this troubled her family, yes, her heart was big enough to care for others, both young and old, but when it came to herself it was always second. But she did promise them that she would have a fest when her nephew was out of the claw of death. Antonio was wowed by her determination to save her nephew despite the odds that were thrown against her, he proposed to her right then and there, giving her a simple silver ring, she humbly said yes and would make plans once Nico was stronger.
As time went by, the jar was filled, it was closed to the new year. Mira, now weak and sick herself, took the jar that night and left a beautiful style note that was from the princess. Then Antonio and her met at the barn to figure out where to put the jar for a later day, the two decided to put it on the second layer of the barn where they kept the barrels of hey. Mira went up there up to keep it hidden amongst the hay. On the way down she had a bad coughing fit that made her cough up blood, freaked out by this she slipped off the rung of the ladder, falling to her death, keeping her nephew in her thoughts.
 
Now as Wish:
Mira had woken up on a field near a cemetery, her once shoulder length black hair, was now down to her waist and darker shade of blue, wearing a white dress that was decorated with silver swirls and stars. Hearing a voice, she looked up at the moon, the voice said to her that he was the Man in the Moon, the guardian of children. He then said that her name was Wishing Star, the guardian, and keeper of childhood wishes, a star mage, and that she needed to meet with the others, in order to become a powerful guardian.
 
Her powers:
Now that wish was chosen by MiM to the guardian of children wishes, she was given the powers of a star mage. A once proud race of people that could control the stars and summon the very object or, of the constellation itself, that once protected the Lunaoff family. Now with this new found power Wish, was worried about screwing up such a huge responsibility. To at least channel this new gift, she asked help from a few of her fellow guardians, it took time but she was finally able to control her powers
 
Stella- Her first summon as a guardian, Stella is commonly known as the star constellation of Pegasus, she is wishes main style of transportation from one place to another. Since she was the first summon, Stella, is very loyal to her mistress and will not allow anyone else to ride her.  
 
The Zodiac Weapons- Since she is a star mage she has the ability to summon the weapons that are based off of the zodiacs, like the Sagittarius Bow, Leos claws, Scorpion daggers, Aries shield, and many more, these are pretty much her last resort weapons just in case a certain shadow creature wants to cause trouble.
 
Other summons- Wish can summons any of the constellation since there are thousands of stars and many constellations she could use. But refuses since she had learned that most of them are creatures that refused to be tame, and does not want to hurt her friends. She refers one of them being the “Draco incident”.
Her main weapon of choice- Last but not least her main weapon to use is a silver and white gold Rapier sword that was a gift from North. Around the dome that surrounds the handle is a shooting star pattern.
 
 
Her relationships with the other guardians:  
 
Nicholas St. North: To Wish, she views him as a father figure and friend. Not only was he able to train her in the art of sword fighting. He had given her a place to stay as the pole, just until she had found a place of her own. In return Wish helps him paint the more delicate toys that the yeti cannot do because of their huge hands. Also she finds the elves to be rather creepy, but there charm makes up for it.
 
E. Aster Bunnymund: A dear friend to her, the two meet when she was feeling like she was second guessing her guardianship and that what she was doing wasn’t making a lot of kids believe in her, like it would not matter. He helped her get over that fear by telling her not to fret when it comes to a child, that like hope, it can always be lost, but like an egg on Easter Sunday, can be found in odd places. When she feels like it’s been a slow day or week when it comes to collecting the wishes she would often visit his warren, or when the Easter crunch time happens, she helps him out with the eggs. She keeps a secret that she has a crush on the Kanga-er Rabbit but refuses to talk about it, but swears it’s the accent.  
 
Toothiana: For Tooth she was excited to have another woman on the team. Even though her occupation as the Tooth Fairy, doesn’t really allow a lot of girl time, but when they do meet they often talk about simpler things, most one being a child they had felt proudest of when it came to achieving what they wanted, Tooth would talk about the problems her fairies would get into when trying to return from a tooth collecting, most of them where very funny, while wish would talk about the human nightlife. There had been a few occasions or two when the little mini tooths would stay with wish, simply because of her company.  
 
Sanderson Mansnoozie: The oldest guardian and the one responsible to helping wish control her powers. Although hard to communicate with she makes the best of his teaching methods. After the lessons wish would often spend time with sandy, watching him sprinkle his dream sand into the houses of children, there had been times that Wish had touched the sand, but it was a little something that the two only know.
 
Jack Frost: The newest guardian of the group, and a dangerous prankster. There had been times where jacks snow storms spooked Stella into bucking her off, or to get her attention, she would have a snowball thrown at her face when she would gather wishes. Wish herself, views him as annoying younger brother, that really needs to cool it with his pranks before someone, namely children get hurt.  
 
Pitch Black: The Nightmare King, or more commonly known as The Boogeyman. The man known to strike fear in the hearts of children, he is a major threat to the guardians themselves. At the beginning Wish had never known about him since he had disappeared into the dark ages, but when he came back, she hated him for taking Tooth’s memory boxes and her fairies, Sandy’s life, and even destroy Bunny’s eggs, the worst he done to her was locked both her and North Star in their clock tower making them watch what was happening to their friends. But having to find out that not one child believed in him, she had begun to question everything, since she had been down that route before. Wasn’t fear the greatest motivator of all. She only keeps this to herself.
 
North Star: Or Star for short to lessen the confusion. This young lady is more of her sister in a way since the two share the same star, but they are opposite in many ways aside of what they protect. Wish is a guardian while Star is a Spirit, one is more elegant in nature, while the others is a tomboy in a dress. They both stayed in Stars clock towers, that is filled with pillows and many others things that belong to wish, such as her books. But when you put Jack and Star together, they turn out to be a fun loving duo who are master pranksters, wish feels like she had become a mother to two teenagers.
